Country Explorer
Full Day
A day of adventure suitable for all ages. Travel by coach, jet boat, four-wheel
drive and train. From Christchurch travel by coach across the Canterbury Plains
to Woodstock sheep station, arriving at our secluded riverside lodge for morning
tea. The only way to continue your journey from here is by river. Board a large
jet boat for a scenic river cruise into the heart of the Waimakariri River Gorge.
Next board a luxury four-wheeldrive. This stage of your adventure provides exclusive
access to this remote part of New Zealand traveling cross country though 35,000
acres of Flock Hill sheep station and stopping off at an alpine lodge for a hearty
lunch. We continue into the Arthur's Pass National Park and through the Otira Gorge
on the western side of the Southern Alps. Your return journey, is aboard the TranzAlpine
train to Christchurch,where you will be met by coach and returned to your accommodation.

Full Day
Witness the world’s greatest marine mammal in its own natural environment all year
round. View by boat or by aircraft. Morning departure at 7:30 am. The tour includes
the North Canterbury Plains and the rugged coastline of the East Coast, lunch at
Kaikoura (seafood is the specialty of the area) and Barneys Rock with New Zealand
fur seals up close and personal.
Hot Air Ballooning
Early Morning
Canterbury's
geography and climate are ideal for ballooning - they provide a unique situation
where passengers can experience Canterbury's landscape as only a few have seen it
- from a gently floating hot air balloon. .......'There is no other place in
the world where it is possible to fly from the centre of the city, in view of the
sun rising out of the ocean, toward snow-capped mountains'..................Up
Up and Away operates four balloons and can carry up to 30 passengers at a time.
This Champagne Flight is a 4-4 ½ hour experience start to finish, with the hour
long flight beginning at sunrise. Passengers can participate in preparing the balloon
for the flight. After landing in a farmer's field, there is a champagne celebration.
Included:
Hot Air Balloon flight, flight certificate; glass of champagne or fruit juice,
courtesy transfers to and from hotel.

Full Day - One Way
7:45am Christchurch - Queenstown 6:00pm
Cross the Canterbury Plains before arriving at Lake Tekapo. Visit the Church of
the Good Shepherd. Continue to Mt Cook for a lunch stop (own cost). Cross
the Lindis Pass and continue to Queenstown
