Day 1      Arrive Auckland                       

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation

A unique opportunity for everyone to participate in sailing on these grand prix racing machines. Passengers become the crew and are encouraged to take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy the action as we sail down the Auckland Harbour. The trip suits people of all experiences and abilities and is the perfect activity in Auckland, ‘City of Sails’.

Day 2                      Island Bird Sanctuary

Get up close and personal with one of the world's most successful conservation projects - and see some of New Zealand's most endangered birds and rare wildlife in this open sanctuary.

Guided walks provide expert commentary and lend context to both animal life and the historical and archaeological features of the island. Those with an interest in eco-tourism, indigenous history and early New Zealand will find this discovery of particular interest. Walking tracks and look-out points offer spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf.

Day 3          Drive to the central plateau volcanoes

                               Tongariro National Park

The three volcanic cones of Mt. Ruapehu, Mt. Ngauruhoe and Mt. Tongariro dominate the scenery and the activities available in this area.

Day 4          Drive to Rotorua

                               Jet Boat

Marvel at the water level views of Huka Falls, and enjoy the sensation as you slide past cliffs and trees at 80km per hour. Then get ready for a 360 degree spin, as the boat turns on it's own length!

Our cultural performance is real, raw and earthy. It is a fascinating performance full of emotion and power. In the tranquil natural bush setting, our performers take you back in time when the ancient Maori customs and traditions were part of everyday life. Through songs and dances plus tales and legends told, you will learn a great deal about our fascinating past.

                  Drive to the Catlins

Situated off the beaten track on the southern-most coast of the South Island, The Catlins is a major highlight of the Southern Scenic Route.   Winding between Fortrose and Kaka Point, you will travel through beautiful farmland, forest and seascape. There are so many choices of walking tracks and byways – take some, and discover the sometimes peaceful, sometimes savage treasures of The Catlins..

Day 8         Drive to Te Anau

Day 9                     Milford Sound

Traverse the Milford Road with its scenic views at Milford Sound board your boat for a cruise to the Tasman Sea.  The vessel stops at various points and there is plenty of time to view waterfalls, rain forest, mountains and wildlife.  A comprehensive commentary is presented throughout the cruise.

 

Day 10        Drive to Queenstown

Situated beside Lake Wakatipu at the foot of the Remarkables mountain range, Queenstown is the South Island's most popular resort and the base for excursions into the surrounding mountains and nearby fiords, including Milford sound.  It is a place with great natural beauty that changes with the seasons.
